--- title: "DokuDok - AI clinical documentation for Danish practices" description: "Complete product context for AI models and search. DokuDok writes the clinical note in Danish, learns each clinician's style with Premium, includes a clinic module, and is licensed per concurrent user." last_updated: "2026-09-28" source: "https://dokudok.dk" --- # DokuDok DokuDok is an AI clinical documentation tool built for Danish general practice and specialist practices. It records the consultation, writes a structured journal note in Danish, and with Premium learns how each clinician writes. A clinic module for meetings, projects, procedures and the year plan is included in Basic. It is developed in Denmark together with general practitioners, in a research collaboration with DTU Compute. Du betaler for samtidige brugere, ikke for hver ansat. --- ## Company | Field | Value | |---|---| | Legal name | DokuDok ApS | | CVR | 45219380 | | Founded | 18 November 2024 | | Address | Centrifugevej 374, 2800 Kongens Lyngby, Denmark | | Website | https://dokudok.dk | | App | https://app.dokudok.dk | | Sales | salg@dokudok.dk | | Security questions | security@dokudok.dk | | Wikidata | https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q140930863 | --- ## Who it is for - Danish general practice (almen praksis): GPs, training doctors (KBU, intro, HU), nurses and secretaries - Private specialist practices in psychiatry and cardiology, with dedicated templates - Other specialties, such as ENT (øre-næse-hals), and physiotherapy: can use DokuDok with the general templates --- ## How it works 1. Record: press record and hold the consultation as usual (in person, phone or video). 2. Review: DokuDok structures the conversation as a journal note you can edit. 3. Copy: copy the approved note into your journal system. --- ## Features ### Journal note Structured notes (SOAP and other templates, called phrases) in clinical Danish with the abbreviations clinicians use. The clinician can record, type notes, or add what is not said out loud (for example findings). Options: split one consultation into separate notes per clinical problem and Dynamic Objective, where the system picks the objective examination from what is said. Before the first real patient, a five-minute practice consultation with a fictional patient is available. ### Personalization (Premium) DokuDok learns each clinician's documentation style from edits made in DokuDok before copying: wording, structure and abbreviations, not the clinical content. Learning from edits is off until the clinician turns it on; "Apply my preferences" is on from the start and is the master switch. It typically finds the clinician's style after a few weeks, around a hundred edits. A learned rule can keep up to three short examples from the clinician's own edits; personal data is removed before they are stored, and rules containing doses, diagnosis codes or measurements are discarded. Learned structure, abbreviations and preferences can be inspected, corrected and deleted. ### CoPilot (Basic) CoPilot organizes the clinician's explicit decisions and agreements into reminders about referrals, prescription renewals and follow-up. It looks up billing codes for documented services and diagnosis codes only for diagnoses explicitly named by the clinician, without inferring diagnoses from symptoms or findings. The code lookups appear separately from the note. Referral drafting and lookup of regional referral criteria require the clinician's explicit decision to refer. CoPilot does not propose actions, assess the patient or draw clinical conclusions. The clinician reviews and handles the agreements and code lookups. ### Attendance certificates (Basic) Fremmødeattester directly from the consultation. ### Certificate module and patient summaries (Premium) File-based certificates written from the patient record: LÆ forms, AES, guardianship and insurance. The clinician uploads the request and record extract and approves a focus plan, and agents write the certificate. Each section shows what it is based on, and X-Ray shows where a sentence comes from. Attest Assistent edits without regenerating. Patient summaries use the same engine. Both read scanned PDFs, where the text cannot be selected, with Danish OCR (text recognition), up to 500 pages per file. ### Clinical expert (Eksperten) Retrieves and summarizes published guidance from Lægehåndbogen, Danish medical societies and regional referral criteria with source references. Reads attached files (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, text and images) and drafts patient replies and correspondence from the clinician's stated plan. It does not add its own patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment or follow-up. For clinical images it can describe visible content and transcribe text, without interpreting clinical findings. ### Editing, dictation and commands AI editing of a selected passage or the whole note (Notat Assistent). Push-to-talk dictation and voice commands. "Spørg om alt" (Ctrl+K / Cmd+K) navigates, controls the consultation and answers questions about DokuDok. ### Clinic module (included in Basic) The practice's shared workspace, next to the clinical work (switch between Drift and Klinik, shortcut Ctrl + M). It holds the clinic's own operations and is stored permanently. Patient data never belongs there, including in recordings, minutes, notices, projects, wiki and files. The whole clinic module works on Basic. | Part | What it does | |---|---| | Overview | Recent meetings, upcoming events and deadlines, who from the clinic has used DokuDok today. Bulletin board for clinic notices: normal, important or event | | Meetings | Record a staff meeting and get structured minutes with headings, built on the same transcription as the clinical note. The transcript stays behind the minutes. Choosing participants helps CoPilot assign agreements to the right people. Follow-ups turn the agreements into suggested projects with tasks, tasks in existing projects, and year-wheel periods; nothing is created until someone accepts. Status: draft, processing, finished. Visibility: whole workplace, management only or selected people, changeable before, during and after the meeting | | Projects | Work that takes more than a day, with tasks, owner and progress. List or kanban view (open, in progress, review, done), with bulk status and owner changes | | Year wheel (årshjul) | Three tracks: clinical initiatives, administration and operations, HR and staff. Calendar or timeline view, so flu season, accreditation deadlines and holidays can be seen together. Each initiative can hold a description, files and linked projects | | Wiki | Internal documentation in categories: procedures, contacts, guides, IT and meeting minutes. Search and visibility control. Meeting minutes are saved here with one click | | Files | Shared folders for templates, instructions and forms. Upload single files or whole folders, visibility per folder | | Workplace | Invite colleagues with a shared link (expires, can be revoked) or by email. New colleagues find the clinic by name or CVR, looked up in SOR, and request access; an administrator approves. The owner and administrators manage members and licenses | The whole staff can create a user for free. A license is only taken when someone uses an AI tool. ### Phrases and background tasks Phrase library for personal and clinic phrases (clinics can send their existing guides and templates in any format to have them added as clinic phrases), and background jobs so the clinician can move on to the next patient. --- ## Works with journal systems DokuDok works alongside the clinic's existing journal system (EPJ). The clinician copies the approved note into it. DokuDok is not an EHR and does not replace one. - Works with any journal system through copy and paste, including EG Clinea, WinPLC, CGM XMO, Novax, MultiMed Web, MyClinic, Vena and XMedicus - Optimized for EG Clinea: copy the note one section at a time, or use Smart kopiér to place every section in the Windows clipboard history for pasting into Clinea's fields --- ## Evidence | What | Result | Notes | |---|---|---| | Blinded preference test | Personalized note chosen in 97 of 119 comparisons (81.5 %), 9 GPs | Master's thesis with DTU Compute, defended April 2026. Counted per comparison, not per doctor | | Edit rate over time | Share of the draft edited before copying fell from 7.85 % to 3.91 % | 15 GPs with at least 60 recorded consultations, first vs latest 30 consultations, 450 observations per period. 11 of 15 fell. Edits after copying are not included. Does not separate personalization from the clinician's own routine | | Notes copied without edits | Two out of three among the most experienced users | Same data as above | Research page: https://dokudok.dk/research/personalization --- ## Pricing All prices in DKK per license per month, excl. VAT. DokuDok is sold to clinics only. Signing up requires the clinic's SOR number. | Plan | Monthly billing | Semi-annual (-10 %) | Annual (-25 %) | |---|---|---|---| | DokuDok Basic | 699 kr | 629 kr | 524 kr | | DokuDok Premium | 999 kr | 899 kr | 749 kr | - Autumn campaign for new Premium agreements until 30 November 2026: with annual billing 652 kr per month the first year (35 % off list), then 749 kr. With semi-annual billing 782 kr per month for the first half-year, then 899 kr. - Basic: consultation tool, CoPilot, attendance certificates (fremmødeattester), clinical expert, phrases, background tasks and the whole clinic module. - Premium: everything in Basic plus personalization, file-based certificates from the patient record (LÆ forms, AES, guardianship, insurance), patient summaries and higher AI quotas. - AI quotas are weekly per function (AI drafts, AI edits, questions to the expert) and pooled across the clinic's licenses, so more licenses raise the ceiling. - A microphone is included per license on semi-annual or annual billing while stock lasts. - 14-day free trial with full Premium access and no credit card, including the certificate module and patient summaries (30 days when invited through a colleague's referral link). After the trial the clinical tools close until the clinic has a license. ### Floating licenses and price per clinic A license is shared: several staff members can use one license as long as they are not logged in at the same time. A license is taken when someone uses an AI tool and released automatically after 10 minutes without activity or at logout. An ongoing recording keeps its license and can always be finished. The whole staff can create users for free. Clinics can mix Basic and Premium: doctors get a Premium license first, other staff Basic first. Administrators can see and free active licenses and add licenses in the app (charged pro rata); fewer licenses take effect from the next billing period. Measured in DokuDok's clinics in September 2026: - In clinics with three or more users, at most 67-76 % of users were logged in at the same moment. - Clinics with one or two users need one license per user. Effective price per user in clinics with three or more users (70 % logged in at the peak, list price, annual billing): | Plan | Price per license | Effective price per user | |---|---|---| | Premium | 749 kr | about 525 kr | | Premium, autumn campaign first year | 652 kr | about 455 kr | | Basic | 524 kr | about 365 kr | Clinics with one or two users pay the license price per user. Example: a two-site GP partnership where all 34 staff members have access. They share 19 licenses (8 Premium, 11 Basic). At list price with annual billing that is 11,756 kr per month for the whole clinic, about 346 kr per staff member with a mix of Basic and Premium.
